Tulsi Desai is a principal researcher at Blink who loves applying her systems-thinking perspective from mechanical engineering and manufacturing to understand how people use products and services.

After graduating from Duke University with a B.S. in mechanical engineering, she spent five years as a manufacturing engineer leading product quality and systems design improvements in the energy sector. Driven by the belief that human-centered design should be applied across all stakeholders - including those responsible for assembling products - she went back to school, earning her M.S. in design Impact from Stanford University. There, she spent a year researching end-of-career transitions, designing a service that proposes an alternative to retirement.

Outside of Blink, you can find her choreographing a Bollywood dance, designing games, or purchasing a new kitchen appliance to optimize how to cook the perfect meal.

Zachary Porter

Visual Designer

Zachary Porter is a visual designer out of Blink’s Boston office who loves to create beautiful and intuitive designs that solve complex problems. He also enjoys other mediums of design such as animation and branding. His first introduction to the arts began in his high school's darkroom after seeing a photo develop in front of his eyes for the first time. After that, he was hooked.

Prior to Blink, Zachary attended American University initially to study film before eventually finding love for design. With his newfound passion, he received a BA in interactive design along with minors in computer science and communication. He has had the opportunity to work for multiple design agencies including most recently working as the lead UI/UX designer at Sprout Studios.

Outside of Blink, you can most certainly find him either at Fenway watching a game, at home watching the game, or listening to a podcast about said game. It’s safe to say; he loves baseball. Other hobbies and interests of his include: baking, live music, small coding projects, random trivia, space stuff, and playing tennis.
