Kelley Blue Book displays a helpful footer that stays pinned to the bottom of the user’s browser:

The links include generic functions (Share, Print, Sign in) as well as personalized content (My Recently Viewed, My Saved Cars, My KBB). Content for My Recently Viewed and My Saved Cars pops up from the bottom of the footer (My Recently Viewed shown below):

My Recently View is available to all users - you must register to save cars - but the registration form also pop-ups from the footer and has a lightweight feel:

The one problem I had was discovering how to save a car once I was viewing the page for a specific make and model. It took me some time to find the Save button in the footer. I had been looking for the save function in the main content area of the page - closer to the object it acts upon (the car).
